Capitalizing on views of the Newport harbor, this new hillside neighborhood creates 425 homes targeted to a mix of incomes. New streets and an axial boulevard connect views of Newport’s waterfront back to the community, engaging neighbors with broad, tree-lined sidewalks and landscaped community spaces. Market and affordable units are mixed throughout the site, in side-by-side three, four and five-bedroom duplexes designed to reflect the character of Newport’s shingle-style housing stock, with private yards and off-street parking. A four-story, 60-unit midrise sits at the hilltop, evoking the imagery of grand Newport shingle-style hotels, and housing most of the one and two-bedroom apartments.
