Innovation Hub + M2D2 Labs win “2016 Citation of Excellence Award”
The ICON designed Innovation Hub + M2D2 Labs continue to impress and inspire! The 22,000 GSF space operated by UMass Lowell was recently selected to win the “2016 Citation of Excellence Award” from LEARNING BY DESIGN. Of the 65 firms competing for the award, ICON was chosen as just 1 of 4 to receive the prestigious honor. The Innovation Hub + M2D2 Labs occupy the third and fourth floors of the historic Freudenburg Building in the Hamilton Canal District at 110 Canal Street. It’s a unique project which has successfully focused on creating varied and technologically-rich environments for collaboration, specifically to provide space for business startups and biomedical startups. It’s a space where students, professors, or anyone with entrepreneurial inspirations can go to accomplish their goals. This achievement now accompanies the “2015 Outstanding Design Award” given to the space by American School & University last year.
