Highland Terrace earns LEED for Homes Platinum certification
ICON is happy to announce our newest LEED Platinum certified multifamily housing development, Highland Terrace, completed in 2013. Located blocks from downtown Chelsea, MA, Highland Terrace transformed a critical underutilized industrial site into 32 affordable rental family units that help weave the Box District neighborhood together. Three buildings mixing flats and townhouses surround a private internal green space with sheltered bicycle storage and resident parking. The project also offers much needed community gathering space supporting ongoing learning and social functions. The LEED Platinum certification is the highest level of certification in the program and the first for any residential developments in the city of Chelsea.
