250 Centre Street Boston, MA
Once one of the most visible empty lots left behind as a result of the halted I-95 highway plan, 250 Centre re-knits the communities of Roxbury and Jamaica Plain. Directly across the street from the MBTA Orange line station, the front facade responds to both the immediate neighborhood and the scale of the city, bringing a crisp new look to Jackson Square. Tall angled bays turn to face towards downtown, while playful bays set a staccato rhythm along the park. Including restaurant space with an outdoor plaza for additional seating, streetscape improvements and widened sidewalk. Running parallel to the train line, the linear Greenway is currently in construction, anticipating completion later this year. Comprising 110 mixed-income apartments, resident spaces include the top floor roof deck and lounge, second floor reading room, ground level fitness space and gracious clubrooms.
