Brockton’s Residences at Centre & Main receives funding
In its ongoing commitment to create affordable housing in Massachusetts, the Patrick Administration has awarded ICON and Trinity Financial’s Residences at Centre and Main in Brockton additional tax credit funding through the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) for Phase 1B. Phase 1A of the project has already received DHCD funding. Combined, both portions of this first phase comprise 113 rental housing units, with 42 at the market rate, 29 as affordable workforce apartments and another 42 reserved as artist live/work space.
“Creating affordable housing helps to generate jobs, grow local businesses and strengthen our communities” said Governor Deval Patrick. “Government’s role is to help people help themselves, and sustainable affordable housing will build a better Commonwealth for generations to come.”
