CitySquare featured in The Wall Street Journal
CitySquare, which is one of ICON’s latest projects in Worcester, MA, was featured today in The Wall Street Journal. ICON Architecture has played a significant role in the design of the development, which includes a 365-unit luxury apartment building, a parking garage, and multiple retail spaces which will activate the streetscape. To fully showcase the revived area, the design includes an abundance of vibrant outdoor green spaces. On top of this, the apartment building will feature additional courtyard spaces and a pool area for the residents to enjoy. Construction for the project kicked off early last summer, which can be seen along the highway next to Union Station in downtown Worcester. The Wall Street Journal mentions a brief history of the site that CitySquare occupies, which once consisted of a rundown mall from the 1970’s era. ICON and the CitySquare developers are proud to be a part of the urban renewal project in the heart of Worcester, which is set to open and regenerate the area later this year.
