As ICON's Director of Architecture, Janis manages staff across a multitude of project scales and types. Her own interests focus on large scale, urban infill, mixed-use developments. For her, they represent long-term committments to both the projects and their clients. Her work is driven by sustainable design principles.

Clients invariably delight in her efficient management and deliberate communication style. Janis has also worked in Istanbul, Turkey, developing master plans for new housing communities. She received a B. Arch and Bachelor of Environmental Design from the University of Minnesota.
